This system ensures that the data in each page view is served from the data centre closest to the visitor’s location.
All Squarespace sites are hosted across our private cloud with full redundancy. If a primary service fails, we can switch to a backup service. Our Operations team monitors Squarespace sites 24x7 and is ready to respond to incidents within minutes of detecting an anomaly.
While no service is completely secure, we have a security team dedicated to keeping your information safe. We do things like use firewalls to protect against intruders, build redundancies throughout our network (so that if one server goes down, another can cover for it) and test for and protect against network vulnerabilities. Payment information is transmitted over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, and we maintain a PCI DSS certification.
